The Columbia company had branches world-wide; Mr. Malchev believes this record was part of a set ordered for the Hungarian market.

Design: ‘Double-face’ refers to the novel concept of tracks on both sides of the record, which Columbia introduced in 1908.

The logo shows the old-fashioned horn, as shown on the earlier American Record, but instead of the horn and reproducer being supported from the front of the machine, the tone arm now swivels from the back.

In the next step of the evolution of the phonograph, the horn would be placed inside the machine.
