Corporate background:
According to UK music researcher and
collector Bill Dean-Myatt, who supplied this scan, the ‘Musone
Process,’ invented by a Mr. Percy Packham, utilized a
‘U’-shaped vertical-cut groove and played for over
five minutes.
|
Design: A
charmingly naïve design featuring late Victorian lettering
styles.
Due to an optical illusion, it appears that
the logo baseline curves upward at each end, when in fact it
runs straight across.
The song title is typeset in Bookman, a
font that appeared around the turn of the century and became
hugely popular.
