Corporate background:

Originally launched by Frank Seaman, a disgruntled Berliner employee, around 1898.

Design: After the introduction of paper labels in 1902, the colour combination used by Zon-O-Phone in both the U.S. and England (where the label name was spelled without hyphens) was a mossy green and gold.

The crossed horns and the lyre have become the corporate logo.
