Corporate background:
According to collector Martín Javier Gorosito, who supplied this image, the Arena-Record company
was located in Verona, Italy, and was part of the Carl
Lindström recording empire.
Design: The
red and gold coloring and the illustration of the arena
effectively conjure up the spectacle of a bullfight, so beloved
by the Spanish.
Also, the braided border is reminiscent of
a matador’s decorative epaulettes.
