Not to be mistaken for an early release from the 1960s British pop group! . . . Prior to WWI, the British record market was flooded by German-made records such as this, which often used masters from other labels.

Design: The curving lines of the Art Nouveau era of the late 19th century are clearly to be seen in the outer border.

Compare the ‘chandelier’ decorative arrangement with the Chantecler and Artigas labels, which were also made in Germany.

The design is excellent, the printing quality is very fine and the typographic arrangement tasteful, providing more evidence of German manufacture (compare with the crudity of British labels such as Arrow and Butterfly).
