Corporate background:
Not to be mistaken for an early release
from the 1960s British pop group! . . . Prior to WWI, the
British record market was flooded by German-made records such
as this, which often used masters from other labels.
Label scan courtesy of UK music researcher
and collector Bill Dean-Myatt.
|
Design: The
curving lines of the Art Nouveau era of the late 19th century
are clearly to be seen in the outer border.
Compare the ‘chandelier’
decorative arrangement with the Chantecler and Artigas labels, which were also made in Germany.
