Corporate background:
One of a series rushed out to satisfy
patriotic fervour at the opening of World War I.
Many regiments were formed in Canada to
augment the British Army.
|
Design: As in
the 1908 design, the
Columbia name is set in an arc following the outer curve of the
label, and includes the word ‘Record.’
The usual black and gold colour combination
is changed to the red, white and blue of the Union Jack.
