Columbia Record (Canada) / c. 1914

Corporate background:
Columbia and Victor enjoyed a duopoly over the American record industry between 1900 and 1919.

In the aftermath of World War I, there would be a rebalancing of power not only politically, as America came to the fore in world affairs, but also in the corporate world.

The absolute dominance of Columbia and Victor in the record-producing marketplace would itself be challenged and overcome.
Design: Though only two issues later than the previous label in the same Patriotic Series, this shows a different design, with the Columbia logo in place of the Union Jack.
