Corporate background:
Probably one of many custom labels for
South American music distributors manufactured by German
businessman Carl Lindström.
Max Glücksmann (1875-1946), whose name
appears at the foot, was a Jewish Austrian-Argentine pioneer of
the music and film industries.
Label courtesy of Martín Javier Gorosito of Argentina.
|
Design: Plain
lettering for the label name but stylized organic finials to
the border lend some decorative relief.
The sun image seems to be another
‘clip art’ image that appears to be in reverse
because it is printed in a light colour on a dark background.
The font used for the song title is
extremely condensed, which allows for a large x-height.
