Design: The
green, white and red colours of the Italian flag form a stripe
across the centre, beneath an image of a cathedral. The label
name, with its tall, narrow strokes, complements the image.
The rest of the lettering shows a mix of
styles: Art Nouveau for 'Marca Registr'; sans serif at the top;
and Latin (with spiky serifs) at the foot.
The imprinting is done with types from the
late Victorian era: the 'Aida' line features a wide, ornate
font, while the rest is set in a condensed Latin.
Strong contrasts exist between vertical and
horizontal emphases, and between sharp and rounded lines.
