Corporate background:
According to collector Bill Dean-Myatt, many
early items appeared under both label names.
|
Design: An
attractively laid out label, though the word 'Guardsman' is
cramped in comparison to the wider letters of the word
'Record.'
The main lettering follows the pre-World
War I tendency to follow an upper arc.
Curiously, the lines containing the label
name extend beyond the Victorian-looking cusped bracketing
dividing the upper and lower segments.
