who supplied this image, notes: “Kronophon-Record (along
with Gloria and Hohnerphone-Record)
was one of a variety of labels offered to the countries of the
River La Plata (Argentina and Uruguay) by the Swedish-German
businessman Carl Lindström.
“They all seem to be variants of the
same basic Polyphone masters, being the consortium he managed
in Germany.”
Design: A very
similar basic design as the Hohnerphone Record, and
exactly the same fonts used for the imprinting.
There are also many design similarities to
the Artigas label,
which also features a sort of ‘candelabra’
arrangement of ornaments.
