Corporate background:
Nipponophone had its beginnings in 1910 as
the manufacturer of the first Japanese-made phonograph.
In 1925, Nipponophone became affiliated
with Columbia, which eventually become part of EMI.
Nipponophone also produced the Orient Record.

Design: Like the
Paramount label,
Nipponophone features an eagle perched on a phonograph, but
this one’s 'morning glory' horn faces forward.
