Parlophon-Record (Germany) / c. 1912

Corporate background:
A pre-World War I label owned by Carl Lindström, a German businessman.

The label disappeared during WWI, but was revived in later years.
Design: The inventors of sound recording believed its potential to be in the world of business, but the popularity of penny-arcade slot-machines proved that its future lay in home entertainment, as suggested by this scene.

A pretty young woman wearing a seductively low-cut dress is about to play some music on the morning-glory-horn phonograph (also incorporated in the logo at the foot).

The pink clouds indicate an early evening in summertime.

Note the fussy-looking ornament enclosing the name in the upper segment.
