Regentone (England) / c. 1913

Corporate background:
Unknown (have info? Please send to info.re.78s@shaw.ca).

Perhaps ‘Regentone’ had business connections with ‘Regent,’ a name which appeared on other contemporary labels of German manufacture (Playwell, Pickofall), though the lack of production sophistication suggests a British origin.

Label scan courtesy of UK music researcher and collector Bill Dean-Myatt.
Design: An unusual arrangement, devoid of copyright information,
serial or catalogue numbers or other details.

Tiny stars are positioned at the north-south-east-west points and the spindle-hole is punched through a circle.

The label name, lines of imprinting and the decoration either side of the spindle-hole are set in exuberant Victorian-era letterpress type.
