Corporate background:
According to Bill Dean-Myatt, who supplied
this image, the Chappell company were London-based music
publishers (founded in 1810, and publishers of the Gilbert
& Sullivan operettas), who used Grammavox masters for
releases on their own label.
The Warner/Chappell company is still
active.
|
Design: A
well-balanced symmetrical design, with decorative curlicued
lines helping to form a semicircular unit of the label name.
