Design: A scroll unfurls over the North and South American continents in this unusual design.
History: The design concept is identical to that used by The Continental Record Co., founded by an unscrupulous American businessman, Winant Van Zant Pearce Bradley. He would take existing records, have them electroplated (with any telltale numbers buffed away), reproduce them offshore and then import them to the U.S. to be sold at a much lower price than the originals. In 1909 he was sued by Victor, Columbia and Fonotipia. Label courtesy of Argentinian collector Martín Javier Gorosito. Collectors/buyers: see his web site at www.discos-martin78rpm.com.ar
