Corporate background:
By 1923 Brunswick was one of the biggest
record manufacturers in the U.S.A.
|
Design: The
ornamental mantling above the label name now appears in black
instead of gold, while gold has become the label’s
background rather than the foreground colour.
The inverted chevrons within the shield now
appear in black rather than gold, a change that would not be
permissible in true heraldry!
The initial ‘B’ within the
shield has become more legible by acquiring a black outline.
The difficulty of overprinting black on
metallic gold (which allows no ink absorption) is evident in
the credit lines.
