Corporate background:
The Hall of Fame series, launched by
Brunswick in 1924, was an attempt to elevate its line of
classical music.
|
Design: The
heraldic theme is taken to another level. A stylized shield now
becomes the main shape.
The small shield is retained at the top,
with a more distinctive shape.
The Gothic 'B' remains, but the three
inverted chevrons have disappeared and the third colour
printing of red has gone. The swash underline has also been
removed from beneath the Brunswick logo.
The traditional acanthus-leaf
‘mantling’ seen on heraldic shields is mimicked
here by chubby floral sprigs, which are duplicated and joined
with horseshoe-shaped hooks to provide the general effect.
