Corporate background:
Evidently a subsidiary label of the German
Odeon label.
‘Criollo’ is a genre of
Peruvian dance music popular in South America, being first
created by black African slaves.
Perhaps the word ‘criollo’
bears some relationship to the American word
‘creole,’ which refers to African-French-influenced
music of the Louisiana area.

and collector Bill Dean-Myatt.
|
Design: Bears a
strong similarity to the parent Odeon label from Germany, with slight
variations such as the sunbeams behind the logo.
