Corporate background:
Label scan courtesy of UK music researcher
and collector Bill Dean-Myatt.
Related to the German-founded Homokord label,
distributed in England prior to WWI, this British-made
‘Baby’ issue is from a small-diameter record.
|
Design: The
rounded corners follow the style of the contemporary Columbia
label.
The cap H at the foot, likely occupying the
space for a royalty stamp, is a throwback to the Victorian era,
but has the same leafy background feel as the illustration in
the upper segment.
