Design: Thick gold lines divide this label into two distinct segments. The letters making up the word 'Globe' appear oddly out of proportion: the 'o' seems to be outsized, the 'b' to be more like a 'd' facing the wrong direction. The swash under the line of lettering also runs contrary to the usual direction of right to left.
History: Launched in 1924, Globe was one of the Grey Gull lines of cheap records for chain-store outlets. It lasted until the late 1920s.
