Design: This label borrows the hexagonal format from Gennett, except that it sits on a flat edge rather than a point, and emulates the decorative fill in the outer areas, but the design ends up being only a weak imitation. The capital letter 'N' of the main line of type does not seem to fit very well, being too cramped.
History: Launched in 1922 for the Nadsco department store chain, the eponymous (self-named) label survived until 1926. It was produced by Grey Gull. |
