Corporate background:
Francis Salabert, a French music publishing
house, was founded in the late 19th century.
Label scan courtesy of collector Marco Gialdroni of
Italy.
|
Design: A very
dynamic label with strong graphics, updated from the earlier,
more whimsical design from the 1920s.
The label name has been simplified, the
word ‘Francis’ having been dropped.
The red, white and blue panel (which
emphasizes the label’s French origin) appears out of a
dark background, rather like a car’s windscreen being
cleared by its window-wipers.
The wavy fork-tailed banner enclosing the
lower segment effectively ties the whole design together.
