Design: The graphically powerful layout, on the leading edge of contemporary design, has the chunky, brush-lettered label name appearing in the lower segment, rather than in the usual place above the spindle hole. The 'R' logo in the upper segment is taken from a font called Prisma, which was designed in 1932 by world-renowned German lettering artist Rudolf Koch.
History: Label scan courtesy of collector Georg Richter of Germany, who writes: "Artona was part of Czech Ultraphon, issuing B-grade recordings which for technical or artistic reasons did not reach the standard for Ultraphon releases. It bore no relation to the British Artona Music Rolls Ltd., which was founded in 1949. The label of this side is indeed way off-centre!"
