Cremalt (U.K.) / c. 1937

Design: The product occupies pride of place, with no special label name lettering or logo, printed on a plain white background. Evidently a promotional item that did not need to appeal at point-of-sale.

History: Beginning in the 1930s, the Cremalt company produced a malted sultana breadloaf, which was touted as rich, tasty, healthy food, and was widely advertised. The company is still in business.
