Design: A chunky, stylized Art Deco script for the label name that follows the outer curve, and a rather peculiar border that seems to have been made with bite-marks.
History: Label scan courtesy of German collector Georg Richter, who notes: "I have no other details about Wotama other than it used Artiphon matrices. I assume that this was maybe a cheap (second) Artiphon brand, but I am not altogether certain." An earlier version of the Wotama label appeared in the early 1920s (see here). |
