Corporate background:
In 1929 General Phonograph sold the
Okeh and Odeon labels to Columbia.
As apparent here, the label became a
product of the Parlophone company.
Musicologist Bill
Dean-Myatt writes: “Odeon
DK-1267 was recorded in Copenhagen in January 1954.
“The history of Odeon is incredibly
complicated and world-wide, they must have had over 1200
different catalogue series.
“Once part of the Lindström
empire, the brand name now belongs to EMI.”

drawing of the Odeon theatre has been updated and has become
more stylized.
