subsidiary of HMV.
Design: The
effect of a star illuminating a night sky is attempted by way
of line work instead of gradated screen.
Shading on early labels was achieved by
hand-done stippling (as on the Lyric label), in
later years by airbrush and photographic screens (as on the Nippon Polydor label).
