Design: Not strictly a 'label,' since the information is etched into the steel blank, which was used for recording. According to collector Joaquin Lopez of Mexico, who supplied this scan, the reverse side of the record is blank. The logo depicts a spinning record seen at an angle.

History: The Presto Recording Corporation of New York was founded by Morris Gruber, George Saliba, Aaron Benjamin, and Mr. Sholes. The company was sold in 1956 to Unitronics Corporation NY, and merged to become Bogen-Presto. Thanks to collector Georg Richter of Germany for the scan of the advertisement dating from 1943 (below).
