Corporate background:
‘Alhambra’ is the name of a
famous palace/castle in southern Spain, built during the period
of Moorish occupation.
Label scan courtesy of UK music researcher
and collector Bill Dean-Myatt.
|
Design: A
rare, perhaps unique example of a label name being repeated for
the sake of symmetry.
The lettering of the label name is a hybrid
of Gothic and Roman forms, which came to be used in Spain in
the medieval era, and became known as ‘Rotunda’
(‘rounded’).
This is also a rare example of the
artist’s picture being shown on a label.
