Corporate background:
Turkish-born Ahmet Ertegun, co-founder of
Atlantic Records in 1947, came to the U.S. at an early age.
He and business partner Herb Abramson
gained the reputation of being fair and honest with the
recording artists they signed (unlike many other record
labels), and based on that, their record company went from
strength to strength.
|
Design: This
made-in-Canada label differs slightly from its U.S.
counterpart, with more of a horizontal emphasis.
