Founded in 1956 by Norm and Nadine
Merrbach, Blue Star was one of the longest-running square dance
record companies in the world, lasting over 50 years.

Design: A
very attractive design, completely in keeping with the stylish
square dancers.
The label name lettering, the music staff
and the background stars are all given the same sweeping,
glamourous treatment.
An effective design given the fact that it
is printed in one colour only, screening being used to good
advantage.
