Corporate background:
This Crown label bears no relation to the Crown in existence in the U.S. between 1930 and 1933.

Label scan courtesy of UK music researcher and collector Bill Dean-Myatt.

Thanks for updated info to Jim Harrod, who writes: “Crown [Records] was a subsidiary of Modern Records. Blues Research No. 8 (April 1962) reported that the Crown 78 imprint was first used in 1953 or 1954 and was discontinued by the Bihari brothers around 1957 when they launched their $1.98 budget LP line.”
Design: A strong thick-and-thin sans-serif font for the label name, surmounted by a well-drawn, stylized logo (compare with the Corona label).
