Launched in 1946 by Walter Dana, an
expatriot Polish musician who was a great promoter of polka
music in the U.S.A.

Design: The
font used for the title lettering is the British typeface Gill
Shadow, with a very American image of a cheerleader behind.
Silver on burgundy was a popular colour
combination in the 1950s.
