Corporate background:
With its success in the record
industry, the Dot company moved in 1956 from Gallatin,
Tennessee to Hollywood, California.
The label was sold in 1957 to Paramount
Pictures (note the similarity of design approach and colour
combination to the ABC Paramount label).
Design: The
four-colour design must have been expensive to produce and a
problem to print in register because of the white release
around each letterform.
