Corporate background:

The Gotham record company, established in New York (alias Gotham’) in 1946, was transferred to Philadelphia in 1948.

The label specialized in rhythm ‘n’ blues, and had several minor chart hits before fading out in the late 1950s.

The label specialized in rhythm ‘n’ blues, and had several minor chart hits before fading out in the late 1950s.				Design: The same design as the earlier 1940s label, but with a stronger colour contrast.
