Corporate background:
Founded in 1930 by the American Sparks-Worthington company, manufacturers of radios, phonographs and household appliances.

The record division, which pressed and distributed US Columbia, ABC Paramount and Disneyland records as well as its own, lasted until 1969.

The Canadian manufactory, as noted here, was based in London, Ontario, and remains active to the present day in the field of  electronics.
Design: A lively brush script style is used for the label name.

The conductor image is also seen on Little Wonder (1919) and Crystalette (1940s).

The silver-on-burgundy colour combination was very popular during the 1950s.
