Corporate background:
The name ‘Sun’ has had several
record label incarnations over the years, the most famous being
the Memphis label
that launched the career of Elvis Presley.
Design: The
bright, warm colours are effective, but the carefully-drawn sun
image is too cutesy and not as graphically dramatic as it might
have been.
The imprinting is done with the
ever-popular Linotype Metro.
